November 2021 – Ongoing Prague, Czech Republic
I am working in a broad technically-focused role, defining the team’s journey from business software requirements to working integration software. I’m responsible for the engineering, coding, delivery and management of software, cloud solutions and CI/CD automation. I’m solving the problems arising in the software development lifecycle by leveraging extensive experience. Most of the created integrations are written in Python. I also performs on-going market research around emerging technology trends.
October 2020 - October 2021 Prague, Czech Republic
I was part of Foundational Data and Analytics team in the position of solution architect for BI custom solutions programme. I was working on extending capabilities of the company’s data visualisation platforms including Spotfire, Qlik and Power BI with main focus is on integration of reporting tools using API interfaces and AWS stack in Python. Primary activities included designing and development of data pipelines and processes that access, move, clean, transform, integrate, structure, store and visualise data. I supported analytics teams with a deep understanding of data architecture, data engineering, data analysis, reporting, visualization and an understanding of data science techniques and workflows.
March 2018 - September 2020 Prague, Czech Republic
I previously worked on a various BI projects in Merck manufacturing division as BI developer and delivery lead for a small team of four people. As data engineer I developed and constructed data products and services and integrated them into systems and business processes. The development stack included Spotfire, Redshift, Teradata and statistical processing of the data with Python and R. I was primarily responsible for understanding data and performing descriptive analysis, performing relevant activities across all project phases including source data ingest, data modeling and preparation, data wrangling directly in reporting tools and automation of the whole process.

I worked in a small international team of nine people, being responsible for creation of regular monitoring and backtesting reports of risk statistical models and ad-hoc analysis for internal decision making purposes for risk, marketing and distribution departments, Czech National Bank as a regulator, external and internal audit.

Maintained company‘s internal databases, updated content of web pages. Assisted with migration of databases to new CMS. Provided customer support and participated on company‘s projects which included administrative work, product presentations and data analysis.

Title of the master thesis: Analysis of the Factors Affecting Credit Risk in Personal Lending
Finished master degree in study program finance, which provided me knowledge of the problems of financial markets, banking, insurance, national, local budgets and public finance. The study program included basic knowledge of accounting, financial statement analysis and financial management.
Secondary specialization in data engineering provided me introduction to basic data processing methods. The emphasis was also on getting acquainted with current research trends. I studied and got hands on data mining methods while solving practical problems, applied business intelligence and worked with web scraping, language processing and data quality management methods.
